Win Tickets To Shinsedai’s “BATTLE GIRLS AND BONDAGE” Event In Toronto!

This year’s Shinsedai Cinema Festival will feature a special double feature pink film screening and display event dubbed “Battle Girls and Bondage” and VCinema has three pairs of tickets to give away! The event will be held at the Revue Cinema in downtown Toronto on Saturday, July 14th, 2012 (the festival runs throughout that weekend from July 12th – 15th).

More about the event:

Japanese pink films, hour-long erotic productions, have gained worldwide popularity in the past few year through the scholarship of Shinsedai’s Jasper Sharp and his book Behind the Pink Curtain: The Complete History of Japanese Sex Cinema, and through the work of L.A.-based distributor Pink Eiga. Overcoming low budgets, quick shooting schedules and strict censorship laws pink films deliver maximum creativity with the minimum of resources. The world of pink film has also produced some of Japan’s best known directors.

The Shinsedai Cinema Festival is very proud to be presenting the very first theatrical screening of pink films in Toronto; and with the help of veteran Toronto fetish clothiers, Northbound Leather, the night will blur the line between screen and stage with an unforgettable mix of performance, pageantry and kink.

The double bill kicks off with Mototsugu Watanabe’s 80’s comedic/ action adventure Sexy Battle Girls. Mirai (Kyoko Hashimoto) uncovers a plot at her high school to turn female students into sexual play things for wealthy politicians. To stop the school’s principal from enslaving more girls Mirai undergoes martial arts training and fights her way to justice… and revenge.

Osamu Sato’s New Tokyo Decadence: The Slave stars pink actress Rinako Hirasawa in an autobiographical tale of sexual awakening. A secretary is liberated by her boss from her life of office drudgery and introduced to Tokyo’s underground BDSM community. Like a much more revealing version of American indie drama Secretary, Sato’s film takes audiences for a walk on the wild side.

*PLEASE NOTE: Battle Girls & Bondage: A Pink Film Double Bill is an adult event, with the films featuring nudity and strong sexual content.

So, feeling sexy and ready to win?  To win a pair of tickets, answer the following trivia question:

Which of the following films was directed by a one-time pink film director?

A) Tokyo Story (1953)

B) Nobody Knows (2004)

C) Departures (2008)

D) Woman in the Dunes (1964)

Got the answer?  Email it along with your name and address to vcinema@variedcelluloid.net with the subject line “Tie me up!  Tie me down!” by midnight PST on Sunday, June 10th, 2012.  Three random correct entrants will win.
