Subway Cinema, the wonderful folks who bring us the New York Asian Film Festival every year, has given us a pair of tickets to give away for their opening night screening of War of the Arrows this Friday at 6:30pm at the Film Society of Lincoln Center! South Korea’s #1 grossing film of 2011, War of the Arrows is an action-adventure film set late in Korea’s Jeosun Dynasty and involves murder, treason, revenge, and, yes, a lot of arrows shot with bows. Just check out the trailer below and check out Pierce’s review of the film while you’re at it:
Ooooh! Did you see that arrow drill that guy’s skull?! For a chance to see that in person on the big screen, answer the following question:
In what year did Korea’s Joseon Dynasty end?
D) Trick question; it hasn’t ended yet.
Got the answer? Email it along with your full name to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “I’m not Joseon! I want to win!” by Wednesday, June 27th, 2012, midnight PST. One randomly drawn correct entrant will win. By the way, to purchase regular old tickets to this screening, go to the Film Society at Lincoln Center webpage.
