Varied Celluloid Kicks Off a Kung-Fu Christmas

Holiday and seasonal film combinations are not all that new. Of course, horror films have probably taken the greatest advantage of the pairings with offerings like Halloween (1978), My Bloody Valentine (1981, 2009), and Leprechaun (1993) among others occupying a frightful space in people otherwise holiday-happy heads. Then, of course, consider December classics like It’s a Wonderful Life (1946), A Christmas Carol (1938), and A Christmas Story (1983), all of which practically define the spirit of the Christmas season.

Not to be outdone spreading the holiday cheer is Varied Celluloid, the brainchild of VCinema co-host Josh and server provider for VCinema, with their “roughly” (as Josh said) seventh annual “Kung-Fu Christmas” event. That’s right, just when you thought you had heard of every crazy holiday – film connection, Josh and his crew over at Varied Celluloid deliver tons of chop-socky reviews for you to read while sipping your egg nog, waiting for the jolly fat man (no, not Sammo Hung) to arrive. So, get on over to all through December to get their rendition of a Szechuan Greetings.
