Shinsedai Festival 2012 Raising Funds at IndieGoGo

Our friends over at the Shinsedai Cinema Festival are raising funds for their 2012 festival over at IndieGoGo.  From our past coverage of their festival, you may remember that Shinsedai is based in Toronto and the city’s only (and one of the world’s few) festivals that concentrates on Japanese independent cinema that has featured some of the biggest up-and-coming filmmakers in the scene, among them Yuya Ishii (Sawako Decides), Gen Takahashi (Confessions of a Dog), Yuki Tanada (Electric Button – Moon and Cherry), and award-winning animator Akino Kondoh.

Just a little while back we reported the Shinsedai Cinema Festival was changing venues to The Revue Cinema.  This move, though a convenient one for its audience, no doubt has generated more expenses.  To check out more information on their fundraiser as well as perks for donating, go to their IndieGoGo page and help them out!
