Preview – The Story of China: SACU Talk by Professor Michael Wood, London, March 15, 2019

Historian and broadcaster Michael Wood will give a talk on at EY’s (Ernst & Young) London offices on March 15. Illustrated with film clips, he will reflect on some of the themes in his recent highly praised series The Story of China, and looks forward to his forthcoming film on the 40th anniversary of Deng’s Reform and Opening Up.

Michael Wood is Professor of Public History at the University of Manchester and author of some 120 documentary films which have been shown worldwide.

Chinese state news agency Xinhua said that The Story of China had “transcended the barriers of ethnicity and belief and brought something inexplicably powerful and touching to the TV audience.”

This free talk is organised by the Society for Anglo-Chinese Understanding (SACU).
