VCinema is proud to hit the podcasting world with some great news! In the near future, VCinema will be featuring an interview with author Patrick Macias, a leading authority on Japanese cinema as well as contemporary Japanese culture. His work is well known and respected all throughout the cinema world as he is a veritable walking library of information. Along with this interview, we will be doing a special Yakuza film themed episode! Featuring a Yakuza film up for review and more sliced pinkies than you can shake a handgun & sweet seventies suit at!

Patrick Macias is current editor-in-chief of Otaku USA magazine and has been published since the age of 19 and has covered everything within the Asian cinema spectrum. He has become the authority on Japanese cult cinema in the western world and has written several popular titles including Fresh Pulp: Dispatches from the Japanese Pop Culture Front (1997-1999), TokyoScope: The Japanese Cult Film Companion, Cruising The Anime City: An Otaku Guide To Neo Tokyo and Japanese Schoolgirl Inferno: Tokyo Teen Fashion Subculture Handbook.

Along with his own printed work, Macias has been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle, the San Francisco Examiner, the Bay Guardian, the Chicago Sun-Times, and Wired magazine.
