VCinema to Participate in Japanese Film Blogathon 2010

Fans of Japanese film will be delighted to know that VCinema will be participating in Asian film site Wildgrounds‘ second annual Japanese Film Blogathon event this year.  For a full week, participating blogs will be writing  their hearts out about Japanese cinema and Wildgrounds will be posting a full listing of all the articles posted.  A great number of reviews, features, interviews and reflections on a wide variety of films and filmmakers is highly expected, so this will be a great opportunity for readers to not only see the breadth and depth in writing on the subject but also get plenty of film recommendations.

What will VCinema contribute to the blogathon?  We have several reviews already baking in the oven along with a plan to kickoff a feature series I recently started research for entitled “Japanese Cinema in the ’80s: The Lost Generation”.  We will also be using the blogathon as an opportunity to debut the work of some new writers who have just joined VCinema, so look out for their new voices.

Be sure to stay check VCinema and Wildgrounds this next coming week for your Japanese film fix!
