About Jon Jung

Jon Jung (aka “Coffin Jon”) is the producer and host of the VCinema podcast and editor-in-chief of the VCinema blog. He contributed several essays to World Film Locations: Tokyo (Intellect, 2011). Jon lives in San Francisco, but wishes he was back in Japan where he lived for seven years.

Episode 8: The New Generation

VCinema christens their new format with an interview with Chris Magee of the Toronto JFilm Pow-Wow, a blog dedicated to reporting on Japanese film.  Chris is also the co-curator of the Shinsedai Cinema Festival, a new festival which focuses on new talent and indie cinema coming out of Japan.

Also included in this episode is a small update on our reader review contest. No film review this time around, but there is plenty of film talk as usual so enjoy!
