Episode 20: Fulltime Killer

Our review of Johnnie To’s 2001 actioneer Fulltime Killer in this episode gets so meta that you’ll think you’re reading it off the legs of an ant in a Salvador Dali painting.  Also included is our second straight “Let’s Get Formsprung” mini-segment in which we get in the director’s chair and talk about films we’d like to see made as well as plenty and puh-lenty of other film talk.

Great episode guys. I viewed Fulltime Killer some years ago as well, and while I personally agree it’s not To’s best, it’s rather substantial within the action department. Compared to To’s other film’s though, the plausibility of it all seems rather far-fetched to be taken rather seriously, which put off some of the people I showed it to. I do own the film though and respect it for its use of action.

The “Let’s Get Formsprung” mini-segment was very funny and interesting to listen to as well!

      Hey Miguel,

Thanks for checking in on us. As I was getting at in the review, FTK is just a big comic book fantasy world farce to me and fun for a watch, but not much more.
