About Jon Jung

Jon Jung (aka “Coffin Jon”) is the producer and host of the VCinema podcast and editor-in-chief of the VCinema blog. He contributed several essays to World Film Locations: Tokyo (Intellect, 2011). Jon lives in San Francisco, but wishes he was back in Japan where he lived for seven years.

Donate to VCinema!

Yes, we added a donation button to our site!  It’s located in the far right hand column, just under the “Subscribe” button.  We don’t necessarily want to use this opportunity for a guilt trip or anything (thus, the post image to the left *ahem*), but instead for informational purposes to those wonderful people who do choose to donate.

I will be perfectly honest in saying that, at the moment, if you donate to our site, you will get nothing of material value.  No shitty Cafe Press T-shirt and mug, no Bruce Lee BBQ apron, no Five Deadly Venoms commemorative plate collection, no Chan-Wook Park nose hair trimmer.  What you will get is the satisfaction for having supported VCinema, the Asian film blog and podcast with the widest range of film coverage in the Asian region delivered in an informed, frank, and sometimes even entertaining (but only slightly so) manner.  Your donation will go toward one, many, or all of the following: hosting and archiving costs for the website and podcast, equipment for the podcast, transportation costs to go to events we cover, prizes for contests, and much more.  If you choose to donate, we will let you know exactly where your hard-earned money went.  Thank you!
